What browser storage does
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent with requests according to their scope. Local storage stays in your browser until cleared. Vale uses these mechanisms for authentication, preferences, and local editing workflows.
Authentication & security
Clerk manages session cookies and related storage that support sign-in and account security. Their duration and behavior depend on the session and provider configuration. Blocking essential authentication cookies can prevent account features from working.
Preferences & drafts
The theme preference remembers your display choice. The playground stores a draft on your device so you can return to your work in the same browser. Editor panel preferences may also be saved locally. This data is specific to your browser and is not a backup across devices.
Third-party services
Payment and authentication flows may use provider storage. Content embedded on creator websites, such as video players, can involve additional third-party cookies under those services’ policies. Creators are responsible for the integrations they add.
Your choices
Use your browser’s privacy settings to inspect, block, or remove cookies and site data. Clearing site data can sign you out and permanently remove unsaved playground work, so export it first. Vale does not currently use advertising or optional analytics trackers. If optional tracking is introduced, the relevant notice and consent controls will need to be updated before it is enabled.
